Pastoral Care
UNC Health Caldwell embraces the role of spiritual support in the delivery of health care.
Volunteer community clergy support our patients, families and visitors through the challenges of hospitalization, illness and grief. We work with these faith leaders to allow access when a patient or family desires their services.
Our volunteer clergy represents the leadership of many religious sectors and backgrounds that are available and willing to step forward when the need arises. We also welcome the pastoral care support you may request directly from your own faith leader, whether or not he/she is listed on the volunteer clergy list of UNC Health Caldwell.
Request Pastoral Care
If you would like to request the services of a volunteer clergy, please contact the Director of Volunteer Services at 828-757-5123. (NOTE – we are checking to find an alternate number for night and weekend access to this service. WE may have to add after go-live).
Hospital Chapel
UNC Health Caldwell is pleased to offer the peace and solace of this quiet room on the 4th floor across from the visitor elevators. Patients, families, visitors and staff utilize the chapel throughout the day and night.
A basket is located in the chapel to place handwritten prayer requests.
Serve as a Volunteer Chaplain
