How to Get Virtual Care

Adult residents (ages 18+) of Western North Carolina can see a UNC Health primary care provider for mild symptoms without an appointment through UNC Health Virtual Care Now free of charge for those impacted by Hurricane Helene. Using your camera- and microphone-enabled phone, tablet or computer, you can access convenient, secure and flexible care when you need it. Patients can get in line for Virtual Care Now through My UNC Chart. If you do not have a My UNC Chart account, you can easily get one when you get in line. Virtual services are available 6 AM – 10 PM, 7 days per week.

The CMH Auxiliary Gift Gallery

In keeping with the UNC Health Caldwell’s goal to help make the patient experience excellent, the CMH Auxiliary Gift Gallery provides the opportunity for family and friends to share their well wishes with a tangible gift.

Purpose

Proceeds from your purchase at the CMH Auxiliary Gift Shop benefit hospital programs, patients and their families.

Gifts

We welcome you to shop in person or we can take your order over the phone and deliver the gift free of charge. Our staff of personal shoppers can help you choose the perfect gift. The gift shop offers a variety of gift items such as:

  • Gifts/collectible gifts
  • Mylar balloons
  • Magazines and books
  • Greeting cards
  • Sundries
  • Snacks/candy
  • Floral arrangements
  • Seasonal merchandise
  • Jewelry
  • Plush (stuffed) animals
  • Baby items (blankets, newborn clothing, frames, photo albums)
  • UNC logo items

Deliveries

Gifts can be purchased and delivered to a patient’s room. To order an in-house delivery for a patient, call 828-757-5118. Please note: flowers and balloons are not permitted in the Critical Care Units.

Gift Shop Hours

  • Monday through Friday: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Sunday: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
