New CT Scanner at Caldwell - Lower Radiation Doses & Faster Scans

Patients having CT scans at Caldwell Memorial Hospital are experiencing lower radiation doses and faster scan times.  The changes are due to the technology of the new 128-slice scanner located in the hospital’s new CT Department on the first floor.
The new CT Department at Caldwell features additional care space and a private waiting room.  Registration for outpatient CTs is now located inside the hospital’s Mulberry Street Entrance.  Designated parking and a covered entrance area for patient drop-off and pick-up enhance convenience for patients and their caregivers.
In addition to radiation dose reduction and faster scan times, patients will benefit from the local availability of new exams including CT angiography, calcium scoring, and low dose lung cancer screenings.  Aside from lung cancer screenings, all studies must be ordered by a health care provider.
