Refurbishments Begin on The Family BirthPlace

Recently Caldwell embarked on the refurbishment of The Family BirthPlace. This effort was made possible through the donations of many in our community and the Caldwell Memorial Hospital Foundation. We greatly appreciate this support.

It is our goal to create a “holistic” spa like environment for our women and their families. New paint, new finishes, new flooring and new furnishings are planned. This refurbishment will be done in phases to limit disruption to care as much as possible. It is anticipated that this will take approximately three (3) to four (4) months. We have begun with the nursing station and the nursery. Over the next few months access to the third floor via the staff elevators may be limited. Advanced notice and signage will be shared when this will happen.

We appreciate your patience and support during this endeavor. If there are any questions, issues or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out to Jim Smith, Susan Murray or me.

Thank you,
Sharon Kimball,
Chief Nursing Officer/Vice President
